Door Codes
Your code to unlock the doors is your birth year. Input the same code to disarm the alarm using the panel at the bottom of the stairs.
How It Works Normally
Most of the time, the house takes care of itself. When everyone leaves with their phones, the doors
lock and the alarm arms automatically. When someone arrives home, it disarms and unlocks on its own.
If that doesn't happen, use the panel at the bottom of the stairs.
Disarming (Coming Home)
- Tap DISARM on the panel.
- Type your code.
- Tap DISARM again.
Arming (Leaving the House)
- Tap the Security icon on the panel.
- Tap AWAY.
- Type your code.
- Leave within 60 seconds.
Arming for the Night
Say: "Alexa, turn on nighttime security"
Or at the panel: Security icon → NIGHT → your code.
Disarming in the Morning
Say: "Alexa, turn off nighttime security"
Or at the panel: Security icon → DISARM → your code.
If the Alarm Goes Off Accidentally
- Go to the panel at the bottom of the stairs.
- Tap DISARM.
- Type your code.
- Tap DISARM again.
If the Alarm Won't Stop
If you've tried the panel and the alarm will not disarm, go to the network closet and cut power
to the alarm system:
- Open the left panel in the network closet.
- Pull the small red cable off the battery terminal.
- Pull up on the pink zip tie to unplug the A/C adapter.
This also applies during a power outage. If the system starts chirping because the
backup battery is running low, the same fix applies — disconnect the battery and pull the adapter.
